Enhanced Expansion Card Support
We've significantly improved expansion card functionality with better organization and validation to match real-world hardware constraints:
- Group Support: Expansion cards can now understand which group they belong to, automatically organizing them by (for example - Input or Output cards), making it easier to understand which cards work together
- Group Limits: Each group can have an inner limit, preventing impossible configurations before you get to site - for example a total of 10 slots, with 5 slots for Input cards and 5 slots for Output cards
- Slot Sizes: Cards now account for actual slot sizes - some cards take multiple slots, and this is now properly tracked
- Redesigned UI: The redesigned Expansion Card Configuration dialog provides clearer information about card compatibility and usage and adds a handy Remove All button to quickly clear all cards
Port Reports now contain two new columns: "Expansion Card Group" and "Expansion Card Slot Size", allowing you to see which expansion card group a port belongs to and how many slots it occupies. You can even group by these new fields as well!
In addition, we've added this information to an updated Expansion Card Details dialog when clicking on the model name in Gear Properties, along with the Port Hover Card when hovering over a port in the drawing.

We have updated the Barco E2 series with these new features, and will be back filling existing gear with this new functionality. If there are any specific gear items you would like us to prioritize, please let us know!
