Two ways to draw any device

Every gear item can sit on the drawing in Detail Mode or Standard Mode, and you can switch any device between the two whenever you want.

Detail Mode

Ports on the left and right of the device with labels. Great for switches and consoles with several or complex port layouts.

Standard Mode

A compact shape that keeps busy drawings readable. Great for simple devices like lighting fixtures and speakers.

Complex gear is more than a fixed set of ports. GearConnect models the expansion cards inside a device, with real world understanding.

Accurate configurations you can trust

GearConnect's robust expansion card library has your back. It knows which cards a device accepts, how many slots it has, how large each slot is, and the device's sub groupings and their limits. Every card knows what group it belongs to (input, output, etc.) and the exact ports it adds.

To group or not to group?

Choose to group ports by card for visually clear and distinct patching, or allow expansion cards to mingle with the base ports for a more compact view.

No matter your choice, inputs default to the left and outputs to the right, but you can customize to your liking by dragging ports around, and the rest of the expansion card's group comes with it.

Swap cards freely, with live feedback

Add and remove cards with live feedback on the used and remaining slots. Choose during insert, or swap cards even after you have connected them to other gear. GearConnect re-applies your patching automatically as you swap cards.
